Execution of Joint FBI and HHS-OIG Federal Search Warrants

H.S. Garcia, US Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico, Luis S. Fraticelli, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Brian Smith, Special Agent in Charge, Health Human Services, Office of the Inspector General, New York Regional Office, today announced the execution of federal search warrants at shared offices and storage facilities of the Consejo De Salud De La Comunidad, Playa Ponce, Hostos Avenue, #1034, Playa Ponce, and at two residences, Urbanization Valle Real, #1704, Marquesa Street, Ponce and Urbanization Villa Del Carmen, #4334, Avenida Constancia, Ponce

The federal search warrants were simultaneously executed today at approximately 9:00 a.m by approximately 50 federal agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Health Human Services Office of the Inspector General.

A search warrant is a legal document giving law enforcement officers authority to search for specific documents or evidentiary items. A federal search warrant is issued only after a United States Magistrate or Federal Judge determines there is probable cause to search.

Pursuant to US Department of Justice policy, there will be no further comments on this matter.
