REQUEST FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING AN FBI FUGITIVE

Hector Miranda-Rojas, age 33, is wanted for alleged money laundering related to drug trafficking. On May 3, 2007 , he was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in the U.S. District of Puerto Rico. The federal indictment alleges Miranda-Rojas and others would deliver large amounts of U.S. currency which were the proceeds from the sale of drugs. The money was then wire transferred to the owners of the drugs.

On May 3, 2007 , a federal arrest warrant was issued, charging Miranda-Rojas with Money Laundering. If convicted on these charges, Miranda-Rojas faces up to approximately 20 years of imprisonment and approximately 2.5 million dollars in fines and penalties.

The FBI is offering a reward for information that leads directly to the arrest of Hector Miranda-Rojas .

Attached is a photograph of Miranda-Rojas . He is currently considered to be a fugitive from justice, and the public is reminded that he should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
